The largest part of teachers‘ working hours is not spent at school, but takes place at home at the desk – schoolkit provides a solution.
Studies and the startup’s own experiences show that lesson preparation and follow-up work by teachers take up most of the time. Additionally, the barriers to entry for prospective teachers are high. To noticeably relieve teachers, schoolkit was launched.
The Rostock startup is developing an app that enables teachers to prepare and follow up their lessons more efficiently.

A digital teaching support
For preparation, the app combines a comprehensive material database with an intelligent, digital assistant, which enables the creation of high-quality lessons with just a few clicks.
The evaluation runs automatically, so worksheets and tests are checked immediately, in part using AI, and students as well as the teacher receive immediate feedback.
The app is based on a monthly subscription model and follows a holistic solution.
Teachers
Individual support and internal differentiation take a lot of time and effort. Schoolkit automatically assigns individually adapted tasks to each learner. Additionally, schoolkit evaluates all tasks automatically and clearly for the teacher.
Students
Suddenly, every student with schoolkit has a personal tutor by their side, providing feedback when exercises don’t succeed or thought impulses are needed.
Schools
Exercises, homework, and tests are corrected in no time by schoolkit. Cross-curricular learning statistics provide an unprecedented insight into the interplay between teachers and students. Jointly prepared content in the faculty can be shared and compared with each other.
The concept of the app
Schoolkit is a versatile, cross-device platform that enables teachers to work across different devices, whether on a smartboard, projector, or on student tablets.
It provides a comprehensive overview of the course of instruction and across the school year and allows to track progress at all levels.
With a continuously growing database of over 600 curated tasks per subject, various test formats, and a competency analysis, the platform is optimally tailored to the daily requirements in the classroom. Teachers benefit from immediate evaluations supported by AI, as well as attractive content for every teaching phase, which is always perfectly displayed, regardless of the device used.
Current Milestones and Challenges
Currently, the MVP is being tested and since spring, the product has been launched for the first teachers. Registration for the beta test is possible on the website schoolkit.it. The first pilot schools are already participating in the test, with more to follow in the coming months.
Additionally, the first tests of the app were successfully conducted recently as part of Physics Day at the university, where 300 students used schoolkit simultaneously to solve a quiz, which was used as part of the physics competition „Lighthouse Competition“.

In 2022, the startup was awarded as part of the state ideas competition and was chosen by a jury for second place.

Gründungsmitteilung
Schoolkit is currently not yet founded. We are working as a team with 4 people, Jan-Eric as designer and frontend developer, Iheb as frontend developer, Stephan as backend developer, and I as product developer for didactic input and marketing. We plan to found it as soon as the MVP finds resonance on the market and we want to monetize schoolkit.
Our vision would be to provide education to as many people as possible and make it available to all free of charge, for example, by having schoolkit financed by the federal state. If the monetization and economic viability of the product are foreseeable, we would like to use investment capital to expand the team on the one hand and scale through marketing on the other.
Question 1: What is going particularly well from your point of view in the start-up scene in MV?
There are good offers and coachings for idea finders who can further develop their vision into a business model and found it. In this context, there are diverse contact persons through the digital innovation centers and the founding yard.
Question 2: What do you wish for the future?
We are so far very satisfied with the existing
offer.
Question 3: How did you find the founding shipyard
We became aware of the founding yard through the idea competition and other network meetings. As a (prospective) founder in MV, you almost inevitably come into contact, which is due to the good public relations work of the members.
