Artesa - Digital planning for the entire craft trade
The daily operations in craft businesses can quickly become confusing: full order books, many planning changes and diverse communication channels
Our cloud-based and device-independent app enables fast cross-departmental planning of orders. The software is modular and supports companies in order planning, personnel management, time tracking, and documentation.
Employees on the construction site and in the workshop always have all necessary information with them on their smartphone or tablet. Office employees can always see who is currently working on what and can distribute new orders to employees. Through the progress reports and time tracking of employees, all parties involved are always up to date and can recognize early on when and where bottlenecks arise.
Employees must be quickly informed about changes and management must always be up to date.
Less time for planning, more time for what's essential.
Simple. Everything. At a glance.

The target groups of Artesa are mainly:
- Craft businesses – especially small and medium-sized enterprises from the construction and finishing trades (e.g. carpenters, joiners, electricians, installers, painters, roofers).
- Business owners & managing directors – entrepreneurs who want to digitize and make their processes more efficient. Project managers & construction managers – those responsible for keeping track of ongoing orders, resources, and employees.
- Craftsmen – skilled workers who can organize their work more easily through mobile time recording and digital communication.
- Office staff & administration – employees who want to handle order management, invoicing, and planning more efficiently.
- Craft chambers & associations – institutions that want to recommend or implement digital solutions for the craft trade.
Artesa is therefore aimed at all those who want to organize craft businesses more efficiently and modernly.
The prototype Our software was created in a project at the Fraunhofer IGP in Rostock, where we, three industrial engineers, Marvin Fink, Frederik Schmatz, and Jonas Richter, worked scientifically. From three colleagues, the start-up "Artesa" emerged. The prototype is improved daily with our pilot customer, a regional stair builder, and adapted to the conditions of other trades. We are currently being funded by the EXIST founder's scholarship. For our upcoming company, we are looking for further interested customers and multipliers who share our motivation to digitize the craft trade sustainably and sensibly.

Well-prepared for the New Year
Artesa supports craft businesses in structuring and efficiently organizing the 2024/2025 year-end change. With functions such as digital deployment planning, time recording, and order management, the software enables a precise analysis of past projects to gain valuable insights for planning the coming year. Through digital organization, time-consuming tasks are reduced, which is of great advantage, especially in the skilled trades, where time is a valuable resource.
This way, businesses can start the year 2025 optimally prepared and stress-free.
Continuous Development
Artesa has continuously developed since its founding in 2021 and now offers a mature craftsman software that is successfully used in numerous companies. The company was presented in media such as NDR Nordmagazin and Wirtschaftsfenster MV and achieved third place at the INNO Award 2022.
In May 2024, Artesa presented its software at NØRD 2024 and discussed digitization in the crafts trade.
