The Coldplasmatech GmbH from Greifswald was awarded the renowned Ludwig-Bölkow-Technologiepreis Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on May 27, 2025.

The award ceremony took place at the Fraunhofer IGP in Rostock and honors outstanding technological innovations in the country.
The company convinced the jury with an innovative plasma wound treatment method, which prevailed against 18 high-ranking applicants. This technology offers new opportunities in medical care and underlines the potential of high-tech developments from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Besides the main prize, a special prize for an „Innovative project with high market potential“ was awarded to the Hydronauten GmbH from Rostock.
A sign of the region’s innovative power
The award of Coldplasmatech shows that Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a fertile ground for technological achievements. Such successes motivate and inspire the start-up scene to continue realizing courageous and forward-looking projects.
