We „capture“ the hydrogen and combine it for easier storage with carbon dioxide in our catalytic methanation. This produces synthetic methane – i.e. green natural gas.

Production and conversion of gases in times of climate change
The consequences of climate change require a fundamental rethink in the use of energy and resources. In energy supply, society must become emission-free as quickly as possible. Our innovative Power-to-Gas/Power-to-X systems for energy supply and storage enable emission-free operation already today. Our solutions are capable of storing energy in the MWh and GWh range, and at significantly lower costs than storage in batteries.
With our bridge technology, well-known natural gas components such as calorific value heaters and BHKWs can provide electricity and heat on demand emission-free.
In our energy factories, sustainable gases such as hydrogen, green methane, CNG / LNG and oxygen are produced in addition to heat and power. Furthermore, the energy factories are able to meet the current and future requirements for system services in transmission and distribution networks. As switchable loads, they serve to store green electricity during „overcapacities“ in the GWh range. The produced green methane can also be fed into the gas grid. If CNG and LNG are produced for the transport sector, THQ quotas can significantly improve the economic efficiency of Power-to-Gas technology.

Question 1: What is going particularly well from your point of view in the start-up scene in MV?
The use of digital media to network and obtain information about the scene, as well as the events associated with it, works very well. In times of inflation and rising interest rates, people are still daring to found companies to make their idea a reality. For Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where industrial sites are lacking, start-ups with their innovative ideas are an important factor in creating know-how, technology, and jobs in the long term.
Question 2: What do you wish for the future? Answer required
I wish, as a co-founder, an independent and strong representation of interests vis-à-vis politics and economy. In particular, the insufficient opportunities for capital generation are the stumbling block in the start-up scene. Despite the will of the federal and state governments, the support possibilities are not sufficient for start-ups to unfold their full potential. Well-meant support from the KfW, especially for the first 2 years, is lacking or is not accepted by banks because the first 2 business years have not yet been „survived“. Furthermore, banks are also not allowed to implement financing, despite KfW funding, due to the current legal situation.
Question 3: How did you find the founding shipyard?
At the beginning of the year, we were looking for new regional networking opportunities and then came across the Gründungswerft through research on the internet.
If you had a vision for the start-up scene, or the founding scene of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, what would it be?
I wish for at least one start-up from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to be one of the players in the DAX in 10 to 15 years and still have its headquarters with full conviction here with us in Meck-Pomm.
