Hanseatic and University City of Rostock
With over 200,000 inhabitants, Rostock is by far the largest city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Likewise, with its university, the city is the biggest start-up hotspot in the state.

In the eastern part of the country, there are three university and college campuses. The region is a powerhouse for startup and business launches.
Hanseatic Town of Stralsund
One of these locations in Vorpommern is the beautiful Hanseatic city of Stralsund, home to its university and Makerport, serving as one of the digital innovation hubs of the region. The responsible chamber for Stralsund and its surrounding areas is the IHK Rostock.
