FoundersBay – The island accelerator

The Accelerator on Rügen Island supports startups in the fields of sustainability, TravelTech, New Work, and Mobility.

The six-month Accelerator program aims to foster, empower, and support teams in successfully bringing startup ideas to market success. Key components of the offering include free office space directly on the beach on Rügen Island, an individualized coaching & mentoring program, access to investors, and a diverse, cross-state network.

Moreover, FoundersBay is a member of the Founding Dockyard, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s startup community.

Startup Accelerator Philosophy

Throughout the six-month program, aspiring entrepreneurs collaborate closely with the FoundersBay team to identify innovative services and technologies, develop product ideas to market readiness, analyze the best startups, and seek investors for promising business models.

Program Elements

Participants receive support from across the country while on Rügen Island. The program includes elements that collectively provide a structured path to successful completion.

• Workshops A wide array of mentors and knowledge holders for optimal support.
• Workation All under one roof: living, working, and life, directly on Rügen.
• Networking Keynotes, events, and coaching sessions from our experienced mentors and experts.
• Investors Introductions to business angels, VCs, and institutional investors. An individual shortlist with suitable funders and contacts.

Application and Framework

A total of six teams can apply for the Accelerator per batch. The program is free, and all company shares remain with the founders. The application process is divided into two steps: Registration/Proposal and Pitch.
