Hostel “Alter Heuboden” Jager: Lovingly designed hostel situated along the European long-distance hiking trail E9 and the Via Baltica, as well as close to the Baltic Sea Coastal Cycle Route.

We warmly welcome hikers, pilgrims, cyclists, or anyone seeking tranquility. Day guests, whether on foot along one of the hiking trails, by bike, or even motorized, are all welcome. During the off-season, it’s possible to rent the hostel entirely as a holiday apartment.

Our hostel is a place of encounter, inviting you to pause and recharge. Strengthened by your stay here, you’ll continue your journey. The communal sleeping area, with five cozy alcoves accommodating a total of eight people, is located in the attic, formerly a hayloft. With a separate entrance, the ground floor is wheelchair accessible and houses the communal kitchen and additional sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering.

The hostel is part of a historic courtyard ensemble with a large garden, old fruit trees, an array of flowers, and a lively chicken coop.

During renovations, we emphasized sustainability and the use of natural building materials.

Here, you can experience complete tranquility and the beauty of nightly darkness accompanied by a starry sky.

Close by is the small “Open Chapel” Jager, a point of attraction and inspiration, not only for pilgrims.
