As the initiator and co-founder of the Gründungswerft (Founders Shipyard) in 2021, Chuck supports the association and serves as its CEO, assisting all initiatives in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to multiply their efforts in the field of entrepreneurship.

He shapes the strategic direction of the association and passionately networks, fostering various ideas and advancing the Gründungswerft with creativity, motivation, and immense dedication.

Since the beginning of 2022, the association has grown by more than 260 founders, establishing a statewide entrepreneurial scene with participation from all universities, colleges, and numerous other institutions affiliated with the Gründungswerft. Hereby, the Gründungswerft multiplies every effort that is initiated by the institutions of or state in the area of entrepreneurship.

The positive shaping of an entire region

Together, numerous personalities are transforming Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania into a power house for tomorrow's business startups. Chuck Henjes team of 20+ (8 chapters) in the whole state is creating the necessary structure, identity, and overview to facilitate this transformation.

Today, the Gründungswerft stands as the initiative with the widest reach in Northern Germany reaching more then two million impressions per year, holding the potential to significantly shape a genuine positive transformation of the region.

We are convinced that the uniqueness of the entrepreneurial & startup scene we are shaping will, in a few years, propel the state into a top destination for innovative business startups and enterprises.
